Well there's a pleasant surprise.


I've been doing a lot of lens research in regards to my small Nikon collection. I've used my 50mm f/1.8 on my FM-10 and Nikon D50 without incident, however, never dared try it on my FTn. I couldn't find any confirmation if this would fit and work properly (yes, I know a Nikon F mount is a Nikon F mount but there are certain things that can still go wrong), since the FTn is from an era on non-ai lenses while the E series lens from the ai era.

I put it on, took it off, and put it back on again and fired it at all apertures. It works, 100%. Time to grab some film!
