Rumors and myths of the Iphone including locking, jailbreaking, release dates and more demystified!

Iphone 4 gossip and talk debunked and real truths come out including if and when the white iphone 4 is coming out, if the factory unlocked iphone 4 does actually exist or can you jailbreak them. Also the question of how you can jailbreak them is answered here.

It's very obvious now that the white Iphone 4 is not being release for the Holidays. If it was going to happen it would've happened already by black Friday. Additionally a press release by Apple stated this "we're sorry to disappoing customers waiting for the white Iphone 4 but again we've decided to delay release until this spring". And the truth is it may not even be released then!

Now the real question that remains is if the white Iphone 4 is worth waiting for? Because the iphone 5 may very well come out soonafter. In this writer's opinion it would make sense to just include the white version in the release of the Iphone 5, only because that may cause recent white Iphone 4 buyers to be upset. At this point it's all speculation however the rumor of release by Christmas really should end. The rumor started from this supposed email to Steve Jobs even though the answer was beyond elusive and didn't even hint yes or no. Here is the email:

Here is the email: "Hello Steve, My name is Nathan, I am a high school student from San Bernardino. I also happen to be one of your biggest fans and a total proud Apple fanboy. I have been saving money to buy the new Iphone 4. I want the white one but Apple said it will not be available until later this year. I know you must be asked this question hundreds of times a day but do you think we can expect to get the white Iphone before xmas? I hope you can answer. Thank you Steve." And the answer from Steve in his short and to the point way was: "Christmas is later this year. Sent from my iPhone"

Everyone is so on edge they'll just run with any remark by Steve Jobs, however, this remark seems to say no more than yes. And the most important factor here is it really says Nothing. Now, onto demystifying jailbreaking and and factory unlocked. First, yes. As soon as the techies crack the latest code (can take up to a few months after the latest Iphone release) you can get any Iphone jailbroken. Where? Start searching your local cell phone repair stores. The attempt craigslist. Ask around. You'll probably have the most luck at a cell phone repair store. You can also find them online for steep prices on Ebay or for more reasonable prices at AppleinBulk.com.

Next, yes Factory Unlocked Iphone 4s do in fact exist. Obviously this has to be kept on the hush hush because of the contract between Apple and AT&T. They come from very few other locations warranted by Apple in other countries. With these cellphones you can insert any sim card and use them with any carrier in any country.
