Consumers that are looking for a new computer always have the debate; should I go with a Mac or a PC? Well, it seems like more and more people every year are leaning towards the Mac.
After reading this article you'll understand exactly why this phenomenon is going on. You'll also probably end up a Mac user in the near future if you're currently on a PC. It was hard for me to make the change, but it's definitely worth spending the extra money for a Mac.
Apple has set trends with their creative looking ibooks. They now come in all sorts of colors and even in white/black have a sophisticated look. Computers used to be ugly, until Mac set the tone. It's not just in the Mac computers, but in all their products!
TV commercials are one of the best forms of advertising, if they can make a lasting impression. Apple made a huge impression with their Mac vs. PC commercial as well as their Big brother commercial. I don't know about you, but I can't recall any PC commercials. All of these great campaigns really make a difference and that's why they spend the money doing it! Clearly, they have an exceptional marketing department.
Originally Macs couldn't support Windows, so many PC users were afraid to switch over. When Mac switched over to using an Intel processor, Mac was finally able to run Windows Natively. After this change, this took a ton of PC users over to Mac. Not only can Mac run it, but it's faster than any other option out there!
How often do you have to shut down your PC or restart? You'll be shocked with how long a Mac can run without having to reboot. It can run for weeks or even longer! PC needs to restart every few days or so.
I'm not going to say there's no such thing as a virus on a Mac OS X, but I've never seen one or heard of a friend getting one. I can't say the same about PCs. I've had several PCs that had viruses and one even wiped away my entire computer!
And last but not least, customer support! Apple has opened up stores all over, for their users to simply pop over to their genius bar! The NY Times voted Apple as the #1 customer service for computers!
