Many parents decide what amount to give as a kids allowance based on what kind of chores their children perform around the house. Things like vacuuming and dusting might not merit quick as much as more difficult jobs like laundry or washing the car.
Some parents who are barely making ends meet will try to find other ways to reward their children for good grades, behaving and performing chores.
