Many people have iPods in today?s world. In fact there are more iPods than any other type of mobile music player out there including CD players and MP3 players. This is because Apple has found a way to make a compact device that is able to store tens of thousands of songs that will not fade out or be scratched like a CD. This invention has quite easily become the most popular music player of the time. You can even download music off the internet or CD?s and put them on your iPod.
The only way to download music directly to your iPod is through the iTunes store. There are many sites that offer music downloads however once you download the music to your computer through iTunes it will automatically be added to your library and you can add it to your iPod from there. Most iPods do not allow you to download directly to them and therefore you need a computer to get new music. If you were able to download music to your iPod you?d have the problem of the information not being backed up. This means that if your iPod has a bad day and erases all of your information you will have to re-buy all of the music.
Most people connect to iTunes on their computer and transfer music that way. It is very simple and doesn?t take much time at all. When you store you music using your library you are backing it up if your iPod fails. The only way to establish your music library is to have it downloaded with iTunes. You can find iTunes online at the Apple website or you can download it from a CD that came with your iPod. When you purchase songs off of iTunes they will appear in your library and become ready for downloading to your iPod.
You can also add music to your iTunes software and your PC from a CD. The iTunes software will rip the music to your computer. All you have to do is input your CD and click on the import CD button inside iTunes. You can also modify the information to the songs.
Finally all you have left to do is to put the music on your iPod. Attach the cord to your iPod and computer. You can choose to make a sync list to add a number of songs to your iPod or you can drag individual songs to the iPod. If you want to put your whole library on your iPod just add everything to the sync list and hit sync.
