So you have some goals, but you just can't seem to achieve them. You're frustrated, right? Well, why is it so hard? Do only a few lucky people get to achieve their goals?
In getting what you want in life, you need to know how to achieve your personal goals. A goal is a desired result person envisions and commits to achieve. Many people endeavor to reach goals within a finite time by setting deadlines. It is roughly similar to purpose or aim, the anticipated result which guides reaction towards an end.
As Confucius said "When it is obvious that the goals cannot be reached, don't adjust the goals. Adjust the action steps." Achieving your goals can require re-planning, re-scheduling, and re-thinking your approach. No matter what your professional or personal goals are, they are achievable. You just have to adopt a strategic approach. Don't worry it's easier than you think!
It's all about creating a logical plan and executing it. There are reasons why people fail to achieve their goals. They never set achievable goals to begin with. One should use the method of goal-setting. It ideally involves establishing specific, measurable, attainable, realistic and time-targeted objectives. Working on the goal-setting theory suggests that it can serve as an effective tool for making progress by ensuring that participants have a clear awareness of what they must do to achieve or help achieve an objective.
Next is you should have a plan do you think Steve Jobs and Bill gates were just lucky, or did they have a plan? You better believe they had a plan. They have a long, long-term vision of how to reach their goals. And then they worked hard and took a series of logical, actionable steps to achieve them. They didn't just 'think it. They stabilize a plan and make it happen.
Success in any field requires forgoing excuses and justifications for poor performance or lack of adequate planning. In short, success requires emotional maturity. The measure of belief that people have in their ability to achieve a personal goal also affects that achievement so your heart is also involve here. .
Achieving complex and difficult goals requires focus, long-term diligence and effort. Start working toward your goals today. Ask yourself, "What can I do today to get one step, however small, closer to achieving my goals?" Stays focused and believe in yourself even if others do not believe in you. Always believe that you will achieve your goal. As soon as you stop believing, you have already failed.
When you hear the word reinvent what comes to your mind? For me reinvent means to do a makeover completely. It is a transformation from should a say a gruesome personality to a pleasant one. Each time a major shift happens in our lives leaving a job or a relationship, moving, losing a loved one we have to take control of who we will become or risk never reaching our full potential.
Today, mil¬lions of peo¬ple, busi¬nesses, and orga¬ni¬za¬tions are in transition. Mid-life pro¬fes¬sion-als are flee¬ing the cor¬po¬rate nests in droves for entre¬pre¬neur¬ial independence. Thou¬sands want to work in busi¬nesses that connect with their per¬sonal values. Busi¬nesses and orga¬ni¬za-tions rav¬aged by the reces¬sion need to diversify. Young peo¬ple are avoid¬ing tra¬di¬tional cor¬po-rate jobs, opt¬ing instead for entrepreneurship.
Usually, reinvention starts when someone looks around at her life and says, Wow. This is not working. I am not happy. The next step after that is intention. Your program to reinvention begins with intention and uses intention throughout the transformation process. Intention starts the ball rolling. Ask yourself: What do I want to create more of in my life? Who do I want to be? Use these answers to begin crafting an intention.
Don't worry about how it's all going to happen. This will only you mislead you and stop you in your tracks. When we try to make the how happen, we aren't allowing the environment and our soul do its work. The true way of reinventing yourself is through believing. You have to believe the power of your intention, and the power of this process. It's easier said than done, but it never stops being the ultimate lesson.
It always astounds me when I meet people who are resistant to change and want to reinvent themselves. In many ways, that's like being resistant to life itself. You see, life is a growing experience, and growing, by definition, involves change.
In essence, no change means no growth, no reinvention no transformation at all because these are all synonymous. If you look back on your life, I think you will discover that you have been reinventing yourself from the beginning. So why not continue the process and in the end you'll realize what I mean.
